The Experience

Depart around 4pm from your chosen marina. Cruise south or west past Phuket's dramatic cape headlands as the afternoon softens. Anchor in a sheltered bay near a small island — typically Coral Island or around the Promthep Cape area. Swim as the light turns amber. Then settle on deck with cold drinks as the sun drops below the Andaman horizon. The whole sky goes orange, pink, and deep purple. It is genuinely one of the most beautiful things you can witness in Phuket and it costs less than a dinner at one of the cape's viewpoint restaurants.

Best Sunset Boats

Halvorsen 50ft: A classic vintage wooden motor yacht — intimate, beautifully finished, and includes wine and cold beer as standard. Maximum 8 guests. From 39,000 THB for 3 hours. The most romantic option in the fleet for couples or small groups.

Satisfaction 55ft: Party catamaran with full DJ system and mood lighting. Transforms into an incredible floating event for groups of 15–40. From 39,000 THB for 3 hours. Completely different energy from the Halvorsen — loud, lively, and spectacular.

Ocean Pearl 42ft: Nimble sport cruiser, great for small groups of 4–8 who want speed and flexibility. From 33,900 THB.

Best Months for Sunsets

November through April for the clearest skies and most reliable sunsets. The sun sets directly over the Andaman Sea from Phuket's west coast, giving unobstructed golden hour views. Green season sunsets can be extraordinary — dramatic storm clouds illuminated from below create sky conditions you simply won't see in the dry season.

What to Bring

A light layer for the breeze after the sun drops, your phone fully charged for the photos, and optionally a bottle of something special to share on deck. The crew handles the rest.
