Day Charter Pricing Overview
Day charters in Phuket range from 33,900 THB for a 42ft sport cruiser to 520,000 THB for a 102ft superyacht. The most popular mid-range options — 50 to 65ft motor yachts — typically fall between 100,000 and 165,000 THB for a full 8-hour charter. Catamarans in the 36 to 55ft range offer excellent value for larger groups, starting from 38,000 THB and going up to around 90,000 THB depending on vessel and season.
What Affects the Price?
Vessel size and type are the biggest factors. Catamarans and sport cruisers are the most affordable options. Motor yachts and superyachts command premium rates due to higher operating costs, more crew, and luxury fittings.
Season plays a significant role. May to October (green season) offers the lowest rates across the board. November to April is high season with 10–20% higher pricing. Late December to mid-January is peak with 25–40% surcharges on most vessels — book 2–3 months in advance for these dates.
Destination distance also matters. Nearby islands like Khai, Maiton, and Coral Island cost less than longer runs to Phi Phi, Krabi, or Racha Noi due to increased fuel consumption and extended crew hours.
