Why Go Overnight?

Sunset cocktails at anchor in a private bay. Starlit dinner on deck prepared by your crew. Falling asleep to the sound of water against the hull. Then waking up before the day-trip boats arrive — swimming in glassy water, coffee on the bow, and an entire island to yourselves until 9am. You also reach destinations that are simply not viable as a day charter from Phuket: northern Phang Nga, the Similan Islands, and the upper Andaman chain become accessible.

Best Overnight Vessels

Nautitech 40ft (max 6 guests, 3 cabins): A proper sailing catamaran — slow, quiet, and deeply satisfying for those who want the authentic experience. From 100,000 THB for 2 days/1 night.

Leopard 51ft (max 8 guests, 4 cabins): Power catamaran with a full cook, water slider, floating mats, and AC throughout. The most versatile overnight option in the mid-range. From 170,000 THB for 2D/1N.

Cranchi Scenery 58ft (max 6 overnight guests, 3 cabins): Motor yacht with flybridge, full AC, premium interior. Includes jet ski on select routes. From 280,000 THB for 2D/1N.

Most Popular Overnight Routes

2D/1N Phang Nga Bay: Depart afternoon, anchor at Naka Noi for sunset, kayak the sea caves at Koh Panak next morning, visit James Bond Island before the tours arrive, then stop at Khai Islands on the return.

2D/1N Phi Phi: Reach Maya Bay at dawn on day two before any other boats arrive — a completely different experience from the afternoon crowds. Evening anchor at Ton Sai Bay for dinner ashore if desired.

Practical Notes

Overnight charters include full board catering from the crew. Pack light — cabin storage is limited on most vessels. Seasickness patches are worth having for open-water legs even if you don't usually need them. Most boats have generators running AC through the night at anchor.
