The Vela is a 55ft sailing catamaran chartering privately out of Phuket for up to 40 guests. Charters run from Banana Beach on Koh Hey, either as a half day or a full eight-hour day, and are priced by group size rather than by season.
She carries 2 cabins and 3 bathrooms, is run by a crew of 5, and cruises at 15 knots.
With capacity for 40 she is built for larger groups — events, celebrations and company days out. Twin hulls mean far less roll than a monohull of the same length, which matters on the longer crossings to Phi Phi, and the deck area per foot is considerably greater.
Every charter aboard the Vela includes private land transfer, full private use of the catamaran, snorkelling point, snorkel mask and life jacket, towel and cool towel, fancy float, paddle board, fishing rod (3 sets), 1 bottle of sparkling wine, welcome drink, drinking water, soft drink, snack set and fresh fruits, guide or butler service, beach chair at Banana Beach, Koh Hey, first aid and travel insurance.
Quoted separately: national park fees. Optional extras are available on request — a personal photographer, a DJ onboard, onboard massage, extra fishing rods and a GoPro.
